Olivia Wang王欧, actress, the first person in cross-cultural physical theater between China and Australia, the founder of a non-profit performing arts company, and an ambassador dedicated to promoting Chinese and Australian culture.
Olivia is a versatile artist, transitioned from screen performance in China to stage acting, making her mark with the musical IDA in 2018 and has been exploring physical theatre since 2019. Lead in Chinese-Australian Cross-Cultural Physical Theatre, with works spanning screen and music.
Olivia Wang has participated in various aspects of the performing arts, spanning stage, screen and music. She has been worked for with a list of government and non-government bodies, various cultural festivals, orgs and she public. She now heads Cross Encounters, a renowned NFP performing arts company in Melbourne. Since the end of 2023, she has brought innovative improvisational theatre shows to the audience. In 2024, she was nominated for the Best Actress Award at the New York International Film Awards and ATHVIKVARUNI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL for short film Wake Her Up.

She began as the first actor to perform Chinese-Australian cross-cultural physical theatre on stage, taking on lead roles in several productions.

As a screen actress she also has several screen experience including film, TV, music video and web series in Australia and China.

As an acting coach and theatre choreography, Olivia has been invited by several local arts communities and group including Austrialian Art Youth Academy, SJ community, MUSU theatre group, etc. to give theatre workshops and acting tutorials, to present at relevant workshops and activities, to provide theatrical presentations for theatre lovers.
